Amanda Mullen, LISW-CP
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding the right therapist is a key part of the journey. Just like shoes, not every therapist fits everyone the same—what matters most is finding someone who truly works for you.
I’m Amanda, a Licensed Master Social Worker and a proud veteran. I hold a degree in Advanced Clinical Social Work from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida. My career has taken me through various mental health settings, including public mental health, healthcare systems, and veteran services. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, panic disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.
As a veteran myself, I have a deep appreciation for the unique experiences of military service members, their families, and first responders. I am especially passionate about supporting veterans, veteran spouses, and first responders through their mental health journeys.
In my practice, I use a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on empowering you to reclaim your life and move forward with strength and resilience.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I love being outdoors—whether it’s fishing, surfing, or simply taking a coffee break on the porch. Nature helps me stay grounded, and I believe in the power of balance and connection both in and out of the therapy room.
Amanda is a fully licensed independent social worker of clinical practice out of the state of South Carolina and provisionally licensed in Illinois.
