Meet our team
Our combined experience of more than 25 years has provided us with knowledge and skills that we are passionate about sharing with our clients.
Why Intuitive Counseling is Right For You
Our practice was built by two clinicians who had seen what happens when therapy is rushed or disconnected. Jennie Ozan, Psy.D. and Leigh Rzepecki, LCSW, CADC wanted something better. Our 25+ years of combined experience has shaped a practice where people can feel comfortable and seen.
Each therapist here brings something different to the table. We have different specialties and different styles, but we share a focus on being present and responsive. We never push people toward a set outcome, and our therapies are created specifically for you. We care deeply about your well being, and we will do our best to suggest a positive path forward.

Individual Therapy in Charleston For Many Walks of Life
Everyone comes in with a different story, so our therapy is always shaped around your individual needs. These are some of the concerns we often help with. If yours isn’t listed here, we’d still like to hear from you.
Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating
We understand that food and body struggles often exist far below the surface. Some of our clients are diagnosed with anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating, but others have long dealt with habits that feel chaotic or punishing. We collaborate with you, and we aim to understand the emotional drivers behind the behaviors and make space for something new to emerge.
Our therapies proceed at your pace, and we might involve dietitians or medical providers when helpful; but only when appropriate and with your blessing.
Body Image
Some folks develop a negative body image early in life, and others begin struggling with their body due to trauma, different stages in life, or other factors. Regardless, it can affect how you perform socially, how you take care of yourself, or how you make choices.
We help clients notice the patterns and talk about where they came from. We will not offer quick fixes or worthless platitudes, but we will help you develop a healthier relationship with you body at a pace that works for you.

Depression Counseling
Low energy. Irritability. A feeling that everything takes more effort than it used to. You may be experiencing the manifestations of depressions in any number of ways. Some people lose interest in things they once cared about, and others just feel disconnected from everything. We want to help you.
Therapy for depression looks different for everyone: sometimes we focus on thought patterns, and other times, we talk about habits, sleep, or setting small goals that build momentum. We will listen first, then figure out how to improve your frame of mind and health.
Anxiety Therapy
Are you struggling with worries that won’t let up, poor sleep, a racing heart, or the sense that something is wrong 24/7? Regardless of your specific symptoms, we understand how debilitating anxiety can be. It can even show up in the form of panic attacks.
Some of our clients benefit from cognitive work, others respond to mindfulness and grounding tools, and still others need different forms of therapy that we are highly experienced in. Book a consultation today, and start healing.
Sports Performance
Athletes carry a mix of pressure, identity, and physical demand that often goes unspoken. Some come to therapy after an injury. Others are in transition, questioning what comes next. We support athletes at different levels in thinking through what’s happening mentally and emotionally, not just physically.
Academic or Career Stress
Whether you’re a student or professional, stress can pile up in the form of deadlines, burnout, comparison, and more. We will help you take a step back, talk through your situation, and create strategies that will help you lead a more fulfilling and healthy life.
Life Transitions
Big changes bring up unexpected feelings, and big changes come in many forms: loss, relocation, graduation, retirement, divorce, and more. There is no universal way to move through challenging situations. We will offer support without rushing you to feel a certain way, and the work often starts with noticing the changes and discussing what you want to hold onto as you move forward.

Identity Exploration
We are happy to work with you to bring your identity into focus, and we acknowledge that identities can change over time. Your identity might include gender, sexuality, culture, or belief, and there’s no need to have it all figured out. We’re not here to decide for you! w\We just hold space for the questions and help sort through your many questions and points of conofusion.
LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy
We are a queer-affirming practice. We respect every client’s identity and don’t expect you to educate your therapist. Whether your focus is related to your identity or not, you’re welcome here.
Postpartum and Perinatal Support
New parents often carry pressures that they are afraid to talk about with friends, family, or even each other. We understand that joy and grief can exist side by side, and that fatigue, anxiety, sadness, or a shifting sense of self may cause an incredible amount of stress and loneliness. We work with clients during pregnancy, after birth, and throughout early parenting to talk through their concerns.
Parenting Support
Therapy gives parents space to reflect—on patterns, frustrations, or the kind of parent they want to be. We talk about boundaries, communication, and how to handle difficult moments without defaulting to autopilot.
We also support co-parents working through shared responsibilities or differing approaches.
Relationship Stress
Are you trying to improve a relationship or step back from one? Or is there an insurmountable conflict? We help clients explore how they relate to others (partners, friends, family) and what might need to change. Talk to us about marriage, friends, parents, coworkers, and anything else – we are here to listen.
Codependency
Some clients come in because they are always putting others first. That’s not an inherent negative, but we can help you realize where it may be causing resentment or exhaustion. We work on recognizing these patterns, creating firmer boundaries, and learning what it’s like to stay connected to someone else without entirely losing yourself.
Substance Use and Recovery
We often see clients who are working to improve their relationship with alcohol or other substances. Some are already in early recovery, and some have only just started to realize that there is a problem. We don’t require a specific path, but we do offer a willing ear and tremendous real-world insight regarding next steps. Our sessions might focus on triggers, stressors, or ways to interrupt cycles that are holding you back.
